Rode past a couple of guys singing blues leaving Györ, they were really good, but a bit odd at 7am!
More cycling across flat arable land in Hungary. I had no idea Hungary was so flat. I've not seen a hill all the time I've been here.
Stopped off for a bit to eat in Mosonmagyaróvár - try and say that when you're... Well... Stone cold sober!
Cycled through big clouds of black bugs today, most of which stuck in my sunscreen. I may have eaten/inhaled some too.
All of a sudden then, I appeared to be in Slovakia. I didn't think I was going through Slovakia, so it was a bit of a surprise. The EV6 runs right along the border on some kind of flood defence of the Danube, but it went on and on and on. I'd run out of water by this time and nowhere to refill.
I stopped for an emergency flapjack and carried on best as I could, but when I eventually came upon a cafe I drank a litre of coke and had a Lángos.
Lots of people cycling on the EV6, and lots of people topping up their (ahem) all-over tan by the side of the river.
I skirted past Vienna and kept going.
Unfortunately the Airbnb cancelled on me and although I messaged two BeWelcome.com hosts, one didn't answer and the other couldn't host me tonight.
So here I am in my tent at Camping Donnau. I've had a shower and a big bowl of pasta, so it must be bedtime. Tomorrow is another day...
Amazing to see we've hit 25% of goal already. I've only ridden 596 miles, so not even half way.
