As always, more on Facebook than here, sorry!
Set off from Zamora about 7, fairly flat going until I got to Toro, where I was debating if it was worth the effort cycling up the b****y great hill in to the town. Glad I did though, because it was a lovely place, plus I found a great bar where I had two breakfasts.
Back down the hill and I followed the Rio Duero/EuroVelo 1 for the rest of the day. Bought a pan dulce and empanada in Castronuño, but nothing like the empanadas in South America, more like a cottage pie slice. Very nice all the same.
Tordesillas looked pretty, but it was chucking it down, so I didn't stop. The route up the side of the river was round and gruelling and eventually I arrived in Valladolid. It's a modern city and very industrial, okay if you like that sort of thing. I did think of stopping, but the prices were way more than I was willing to pay - I'd rather give the money to Amicii Dog Rescue instead. I carried on another 20km up a canal to Camping Cubillas, which is a bit low-rent, but the bathroom is clean.
The restaurant is closed however, and there's nothing in the "shop" I fancy eating to be honest, so it may just be beer for dinner tonight...
